Taiwan manufactures 55% of the world notebook PCs and by 2001, 65% of the PDAs, 45% of cell phones and consumer products, all IrDA enabled device categories. These numbers will increase dramatically considering many Taiwan companies also operate huge manufacturing facilities in China and other Asian countries Noun 1.
