The Hondo Group, Fort Worth, TX, joins the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, Panhandle Slim (western wear) and the Susan G. Komen Foundation in celebrating "Stock Show Goes Pink.".The Hondo Group, Fort Worth, TX, joins the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo rodeo (rō`dēō, rōdā`ō), public exhibition of the skill of cowboys in various activities. Events include riding broncos, riding steers, "bulldogging" steers, roping and tying steers and calves, the use of the lasso, and , Panhandle panhandle, in geography, a strip of land projecting from the main body of an area and shaped like the handle of a pan, such as the panhandles of West Virginia, Texas, and Alaska. Slim (western wear) and the Susan G. Komen Foundation in celebrating "Stock Show Goes Pink." The event honors all breast cancer survivors Cancer survivors are those individuals with cancer of any type, current or past, who are still living. The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) pioneered the definition of survivor as from the time of diagnosis and for the balance of life, a person diagnosed with and supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. All breast cancer survivors registered with the foundation had the opportunity to receive free rodeo or grounds admission tickets from the Stock Show. In addition, the Komen Foundation hosted the Pink Ribbon Round Up for survivors and their families and friends. The Stock Show donated do·nate v. do·nat·ed, do·nat·ing, do·nates v.tr. To present as a gift to a fund or cause; contribute. v.intr. To make a contribution to a fund or cause. 50% of the day's Rodeo and general admission ticket sales to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. |
