Declares Monthly Distribution The Board of Directors of the High Yield Plus Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange : HYP Hyp hydroxyproline. ) declared monthly dividends of $0.0325 per share at its November 19, 2002 meeting. A dividend will be payable on January 10, 2003 to stockholders of record on December 31, 2002; the ex-dividend date Ex-dividend date The first day of trading when the buyer of a stock is no longer entitled to the most recently announced dividend payment ( i.e. the trade will settle the day after the record date, too late for the buyer to appear on the shareholder record and receive the dividend. with respect to such dividend will be December 27, 2002. A dividend will be payable on February 11, 2003 to stockholders of record on January 31, 2003; the ex-dividend date with respect to such dividend will be January 29, 2003. A dividend will be payable on March 11, 2003 to stockholders of record on February 28, 2003; the ex-dividend date with respect to such dividend will be February 26, 2003.
