The Hearst Corp. (New York) has agreed to acquire White Directory Publishers, Inc. (WDP; Buffalo, NY), the fourth largest independent yellow pages publisher in the U.S.

The Hearst Corp. (New York) has agreed to acquire White Directory Publishers, Inc. (WDP; Buffalo, NY), the fourth largest independent yellow pages publisher in the U.S. WDP produces 56 directories in 11 states with a combined distribution of more than eight million. Hearst currently owns Associated Publishing Co., an independent yellow pages publisher in Texas which it acquired in 1994.
