Also, Kluwer Law International (The Hague; London) has launched KluwerConstructionBlog, a new blog service covering all aspects of developments in international construction law worldwide. The blog covers topics such as forms of contract used in different jurisdictions (FIDIC and NEC, e.g.), contractual issues and international legal developments in specific regions with a focus on those countries and jurisdictions that are most likely to be of interest in terms of infrastructure opportunities. It includes contributors from the U.K., U.S., Canada, Europe, Russia and the CIS, the Gulf, India, Africa South, America and Asia. A contributor from Australia is to be added in early 2010. Kluwer said it launched the blog to promote topical debate across the entire international construction arena. Initial comments cover the effects of the swine flu on the international construction sector, record keeping and project time extension causation, advance payment guarantees and performance bonds, liability law in the UAE, and Brazilian Arbitration law.
