"The mission of the Sarcoma Foundation of America is to act as an advocate for increased research to find new and better therapies with which to treat sarcoma afflicted patients. Sarcoma research is truly under-funded and our passion and commitment is to change this and find a cure during our lifetime," said Matthew Alsante, Executive Director of SFA. "The money that was collected will go directly toward research grants focused on discovering and developing new weapons with which to treat and eradicate sarcoma."

The SFA is also in the process of developing a sarcoma patient registry. This registry will provide researchers and pharmaceutical companies the historical data they need to encourage future development of sarcoma fighting drugs.
