) today announced the merger of BDDP Worldwide and TBWA TBWA Tampa Bay WorkForce Alliance (Florida)

TBWA Tampa Bay Water Authority (Florida)
TBWA Tiny Bubbles With Attitude
 International. The new entity will be named TBWA Worldwide.

This follows the completion of Omnicom's acquisition of The GGT GGT

 Group plc. and the combination creates one of the world's top ten advertising agency networks. The group has billings in excess of $6.5 billion with 101 offices in 62 countries and over 5,300 employees.

The merger brings together the creative capabilities of Lee Clow Lee Clow is currently the Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of TBWA\Worldwide. Advertising Age referred to him as "advertising's art director guru."[1]

Clow is best known for creating Apple Computer's 1984
, Creative Director of TBWA International; Bela Stamenkovits, Creative Director of TBWA Holland; John Hunt, Creative Director of TBWA South Africa; and Marie-Catherine Dupuy, Worldwide Creative Director and Co-founder of BDDP. Mr. Clow will be the Chief Creative Officer Worldwide of the new company.

TBWA Chiat/Day was "1997 U.S. Agency of the Year" for both Advertising Age and AdWeek magazines. BDDP is consistently voted top French agency for both strategy and creativity and TBWA South Africa has been named "1997 Agency of the Year."

William G. Tragos, Co-founder of TBWA, will remain Chairman. Michael Greenlees, previously Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of the GGT Group, PLC, will become President and CEO of the enlarged company, taking over these responsibilities from William Tragos. Both Mr. Tragos and Mr. Greenlees will be based in New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of

Jean-Marie Dru, previously Chairman of BDDP Worldwide will be appointed President CEO International, based in Paris. Bob Kuperman, currently President and CEO of TBWA Chiat/Day North America, will be appointed to a new position as President/CEO of the Americas.

David Lake, currently Chief Financial Officer of TBWA, will take on the same role for the enlarged company. Alasdair Ritchie, previously President Europe TBWA, will become Senior Vice President, Operations. Eric Giuily, currently COO of BDDP, will become COO, International Division.

Regional Directors will continue in their positions: Reg Lascaris, Africa/Middle East; Rob Rosenthal, Latin America; Helmut Sendlmeier, Central and Eastern Europe The term "Central and Eastern Europe" came into wide spread use, replacing "Eastern bloc", to describe former Communist countries in Europe, after the collapse of the Iron Curtain in 1989/90. ; Keith Smith, Asia Pacific; and Rod Wright, Western Europe. Peter Economides will continue as Director of Network Clients.
