The Fuel Cell Announces Licensing Agreement with Hamilton Sundstrand.


FORT LAUDERDALE Fort Lauderdale (lô`dərdāl), residential, commercial, and resort city (1990 pop. 149,377), seat of Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled around a fort built (c.1837) in the Seminole War, inc. 1911. , Fla. -- The Fuel Cell, a leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul or MRO is a multi-billion dollar industry which works on international authorization rules to deliver a safe airline operation and to assure reliability and availability of customer fleets.  of jet aircraft fuel components, announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Hamilton Sundstrand Hamilton Sundstrand, is a global corporation that manufactuers and supports aerospace and industrial products for worldwide markets. It was formed from the merger of Hamilton Standard and Sundstrand Corporation in 1999.  (a United Technologies Company). The licensing agreement allows for The Fuel Cell to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the Hamilton Sundstrand's JFC-60 series of Pratt & Whitney JT8D jet engine fuel controls.

Joel Parker Joel Parker (November 24, 1816 – January 2, 1888) was an American Democratic Party politician, who served as the 20th Governor of New Jersey from 1863-1866 and from 1871-1874. , Hamilton Sundstrand's Manager of Licensing stated, "The selection of The Fuel Cell for this activity was made following a detailed evaluation of the company's capabilities and performance, and Hamilton Sundstrand's desire to continue to provide its customers with access to OEM-supported services on this product."

The Fuel Cell's President, Mark Story said, "We are extremely delighted that Hamilton Sundstrand has recognized our dedication to providing reliable fuel component services and look forward to building upon our relationship in the future."

The Fuel Cell currently provides fuel component maintenance, repair and overhaul services to many of the world's major airlines and offers expansive capabilities on Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce and GE engine fuel components, for Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Airbus and Lockheed aircraft.
