The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) recently won a small victory for freedom of thought.


The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) is a non-profit group whose stated concerns involve civil liberties in academia in the United States. Founded in 1999, according to their website FIRE's mission is "to defend and sustain individual rights at America's  (FIRE) recently won a small victory for freedom of thought. According to FIRE, students at the University of Delaware [3] The student body at the University of Delaware is largely an undergraduate population. Delaware students have a great deal of access to work and internship opportunities.  underwent a series of "treatments" (the university's term) designed to inculcate in them, among other things, a new understanding of what constitutes a racist: "A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality." In other words Adv. 1. in other words - otherwise stated; "in other words, we are broke"
