The Foote School in New Haven, CT Converts to Sun-Sensitive Lighting with the Axis Ballast System.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Axis Technologies Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AXTG) announced today that The Foote School in New Haven, CT has signed a contract through an energy service company (ESCO), and Rob Reynolds, the Axis representative, to install the Axis daylight harvesting and dimming (DDH) ballasts into one of their buildings. The Axis ballasts will be retrofitted into the existing fixtures during the work that is being done as part of Foote's participation in the Northeast Utilities Energy Conservation Program. This is a start to the decision by Foote Business Manager Jay Cox to convert to energy efficient lighting campus-wide.

Cox noted that "the Axis daylight harvesting system will serve as a model that the students will see working. This is a part of our curriculum to educate them in the importance of thinking green." The school, which has 10 buildings on 14 acres, will also utilize the attached dipswitch (fixed reduction system) that is a part of each ballast. "Most of our spaces have been over lighted," continued Mr. Cox, and now we can adjust them to more comfortable levels. This creates even greater savings because these lower levels not only save additional power, but also establish a new starting point for the daylight dimming system. That's quite a bonus because these settings can typically be 20 to 30 percent lower than the current norm." Mr. Cox also observed that "the school is pleased to be in the forefront of the energy conservation movement with this innovative daylight harvesting product."
