The First Bahamas Texas Hold'em International Poker Tournament Resounding Success.FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Royal Oasis Golf Resort and Casino presented the First Ever Bahamas Texas Hold'em Tournament with just shy of 200 players from 17 states in the U.S. The international tournament began noon, August 26th and ended 6:00 pm August 28. 65 players were eliminated by the end of the first day and two tables were left with just sixteen players who all received prizes valued at $450,000 on the following day.
