Oregon Trail II Oregon Trail II is a video game released by MECC in 1996. It is a revised version of the original Oregon Trail computer game. It was redesigned with the help of American Studies PhD Wayne Studer. has three levels of play which include over 5,000 photo-realistic images, full-motion video Video transmission that changes the image 30 frames per second (30 fps). Motion pictures are run at 24 fps, which is the minimum frequency required to eliminate the perception of moving frames and make the images appear visually fluid to the eye. with more than 100 filmed characters, a sound track with over three hours of digitized speech and original music, and 3-dimensional towns that players can explore along the way. Oregon Trail II is the latest version of the classic, The Oregon Trail, a simulation designed to give kids a first-person understanding of America's westward expansion. Oregon Trail II will be one of the feature demonstrations at the Trailheads Jamboree.
