The Fund is a nonprofit foundation that educates all New Yorkers about fire safety and prevention and supports the critical work of the NYC Fire Department. The Fund sponsors an array of educational and public-awareness programs to reduce fires and fire fatalities among the public and firefighters. The Fund also operates the FDNY Fire Zone, at Rockefeller Center, which offers parents and children an interactive state-of-the-art experience in fire safety education through a simulated fire scene.
