The Disney Honors.Disney Youth Group programs has announced the 2007 dates for The Disney Honors. The National Concert Band, Orchestra and Choral cho·ral adj. 1. Adj. 1. will take place April 13-16, at venues around the Walt Disney World Noun 1. Walt Disney World - a large amusement park established in 1971 to the southwest of Orlando Orlando - a city in central Florida; site of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The Disney Honors is a non-competitive, non-ranked music festival. During each weekend, ensembles will participate in a welcome breakfast and orientation, a one-hour presentation conducted by a distinguished music educator, a private Disney Theme Park party, a performance in a specially designed music venue A music venue is any location regularly used for a concert or musical performance. Music venues range in size and location, from an outdoor bandshell or bandstand to an indoor sports stadium. Typically, different types of venues host different genres of music. and a clinic with a nationally recognized evaluator. The grand finale of the events will be The Disney Honors Celebration Gala. During the gala, each ensemble will be recognized and presented with The Disney Honors award, and performers will receive a medal commemorating com·mem·o·rate tr.v. com·mem·o·rat·ed, com·mem·o·rat·ing, com·mem·o·rates 1. To qualify for the event, each ensemble must be invited or submit an application form, a recording of its ensemble and three nomination forms from music educators and leaders familiar with its program.
