The Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management Welcomes a New Commandant.Dr. Ronald H. "Ron" Reynolds assumed his duties as the Commandant, Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management on September 14, 2001. Recently retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 25 years' service, Dr. Reynolds served as Director of Air Force Training at the U.S. Military Training Mission, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (1996-1998) and Chief of Instruction, International Officer School, Air University, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. In addition to Saudi Arabia, he saw overseas duty in Tegucigalpa, Honduras (1984) and Osan Air Base Osan Air Base (K-55), is a United States Air Force facility located 4.7 mi SW of Osan-Ni, 40 mi S of Seoul, South Korea. The base is the home of the Pacific Air Forces 51st Fighter Wing, and a number of tenant units, including the headquarters for Seventh Air Force. , Republic of Korea (1988). His other assignments include tours of duty with the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps at the University of North Carolina, Officers Training School, and locations including Port Austin Air Force School, Michigan; Keesler Air Force Base Keesler Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base located in Biloxi, Mississippi. The base is home of the 81st Training Wing, and the base is responsible for training airmen who have just completed basic training as well as additional training they will need for upcoming , Mississippi; and Peterson Air Force Base Peterson Air Force Base (Peterson AFB) is a base of the United States Air Force located at Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. Peterson AFB is home to US Northern Command, NORAD, Air Force Space Command, Army Space Command, the 21st Space Wing (host unit) , Colorado. His military awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal The Defense Meritorious Service Medal (DMSM) is the third-highest award bestowed upon members of the United States military by the United States Department of Defense.
