The Comision Federal de Competencia approved the alliance of Gigante, Soriana, and Comercial Mexicana under Sinergia de Autoservicios in order to be able to compete with Wal-Mart.


The Comision Federal de Competencia approved the alliance of Gigante, Soriana Organización Soriana is a grocery and department store retail chain corporation headquartered in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The company is 100% capitalized in Mexico and is publicly traded on the Mexican stock exchange the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, since 1987 under the symbol: , and Comercial Mexicana Comercial Mexicana is a Mexican hypermarket group, which features stores similar to those owned by Wal-Mart in the United States or Carrefour in France. It is part of the Controladora Comercial Mexicana Group which also owns the local Costco warehouse franchise and Restaurantes  under Sinergia de Autoservicios in order to be able to compete with Wal-Mart Editing of this page by unregistered or newly registered users is currently disabled due to vandalism. .
