The Collaborative for Disaster Mitigation and the City of San Jose Announce This Year's Business Continuity Planning Conference -- VI.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Disasters: Managing the Unexpected; NASA-Ames Conference Center -- November 2, 2005

This half-day Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Conference, sponsored by The Collaborative for Disaster Mitigation (CDM) and The City of San Jose will be held at NASA Ames' Conference Center. NASA-Ames Research Center and Genentech Corporation are hosting this conference. The dynamic speakers, all of who were involved in the response to Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana and Mississippi, will share their experiences and how the lessons they learned can be applied towards improving emergency preparedness in the Bay Area and in California. According to Dr. Guna Selvaduray, Executive Director of CDM, "This is the first conference in California that is focused on learning from Katrina, and is a must attend event for all those interested in emergency preparedness and response." This conference venue is also an excellent opportunity for networking between the public and private sectors.
