Interspersed with the text are candid photos of the artists and numerous examples of their artworks, with insightful comments accompanying them. References to what is happening in the rest of the world and brief essays on such diverse topics as Women and Impressionism, Impressionism and the Camera, even Mary Cassatt's comments on Cezannes' table manners Table manners are the etiquette used when eating.
