JSA JSA - Japanese Standards Association. How far should a defense attorney go for his client? What happens when the wrong person is on trial? These are some of the questions raised by this play. Lt. Stephen Maryk is under court-martial for having relieved Captain Queeg, his superior officer, of duty. Maryk claimed that Queeg was psychologically unfit unfit not properly prepared, e.g. physically incapable of performing hard work as in racing, because of lack of training. Said also of food prepared unhygienically. unfit for human consumption for command. Maryk's attorney, Lt. Barney Greenwald, wants to be anywhere but in this courtroom. He knows that the only way to save Maryk is to destroy Queeg. This still relevant quandary is particularly entertaining thanks to its multi-voiced cast. Josh Stamberg as Greenwald, David Fendig as Maryk and David Selby David Lynn Selby (born February 5, 1941 in Morgantown, West Virginia) is an American character actor, primarily in soap operas and television. The naturally black-headed Selby is best known for playing the roles of Quentin Collins as Queeg are accomplished actors. Queeg is definitely in a class by himself, but is he crazy? Maryk believes he acted in the best interests of the ship but Fendig is quick to add undertones of uncertainty. Stamberg, as Greenwald, is simply angry because the case is a no-win situation Noun 1. no-win situation - a situation in which a favorable outcome is impossible; you are bound to lose whatever you do situation - a complex or critical or unusual difficulty; "the dangerous situation developed suddenly"; "that's quite a situation"; "no human . Entertaining and thoughtful, this is recommended for all collections. Jodi L. Israel, MLS See multilevel security. Jamaica Plain, MA |
