What began as a novelty in 1989 has grown into one of the more anticipated summer events with each succeeding year. Ringo's ever affable, relaxed format includes his Beatle vocals ("Act Naturally", "Yellow Submarine") as well as his solo hits ("Photograph", "It Don't Come Easy"), but offers each of his sidemen center stage with numbers from either their band (Levon Helm's "The Weight") or solo (Dr. John's frenetic, fantastic "Iko-Iko"). The DVD runs a spare 93 minutes, but they're 93 of the most fun-filled concert minutes that you'll ever get. The video quality is top-notch, and the sound quality superior -- there's not a bad mix in the bunch.
