Miscellany GRAEME GIBSON Graeme C. Gibson (born 9 August 1934) is a Canadian novelist who lives in Toronto, Ontario. He is a Member of the Order of Canada (1992), and was one of the organizers of the Writer's Union of Canada (chair, 1974-75). Throughout history, birds have represented mythic beings, metaphors for human aspiration, omens, inspiration, and dinner. In this beautifully presented book, Gibson, an avid bird-watcher and novelist, collects a multitude of writings and imagery that celebrate the special relationship between birds and people. He includes passages from such writers such as T.S. Eliot, Henry Thoreau, Franz Kafka Noun 1.
