The Beard Company Reports On Progress of Its Initial Fertilizer Plant in China.

Business Editors

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2001

The Beard Company today reported that construction of its initial fertilizer plant in China continues to move forward. In November of 2000 a Cooperative Joint Venture ("CJV CJV Cooperative Joint Venture ") was established between Beard Sino-American Resources Co., Inc. ("BSAR BSAR Bistatic Synthetic Aperture Radar

") and Baoding Springdragon Co., Ltd.

The CJV is building a facility for the production of fertilizer at Baoding City, Hebei Province, Peoples Republic of China. Baoding is a city of more than ten million people located about 150 kilometers southwest of Beijing. Groundbreaking for the plant took place in March of this year. Since that time all necessary permits have been obtained, initial funding has occurred, and construction is now proceeding according to a revised schedule.

Construction of the plant is expected to be completed in June, 2002, when production of 60,000 tons of environmentally friendly fertilizer will begin with estimated sales of more than US$10,000,000 annually.

Upon completion, the new Baoding plant will be the first of many such facilities BSAR plans to install in China. The facility will be a technically advanced model organic-chemical compound fertilizer ("OCCF OCCF Oklahoma City Community Foundation
OCCF Operator Communication Control Facility
