The Battle of Perryville The Battle of Perryville, also known as Battle at Perryville and Battle of Chaplin Hills, was an important but largely neglected encounter in the American Civil War. It was fought on October 8, 1862, in the Chaplin Hills west of Perryville, Kentucky.

The Battle Of Perryville: Culmination Of The Failed Kentucky Campaign is a historic study of the South's ill-fated campaign to bring the fence-sitting border state of Kentucky into the Confederacy Confederacy, name commonly given to the Confederate States of America (1861–65), the government established by the Southern states of the United States after their secession from the Union. .
