The Bank of New York Voted ``Custodian of the Year''.


LONDON -- The Bank of New York The Bank of New York, abbrieviated to BNY, was a global financial services company that existed until its merger with the Mellon Financial Corporation on July 2, 2007.[1] The bank now continues under the new name of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. , a global leader in securities servicing, was named "Custodian of the Year" at the 2005 UK Pensions Awards organised by Professional Pensions magazine. The Bank of New York was selected by the judges from a record number of entries for the part it has played in meeting its clients' demands, and its leadership role in consulting and partnering with the pensions industry.

The UK Professional Pensions Awards are widely recognised by the industry as the main awards ceremony, and honour excellence in and outstanding contributions to the UK Pensions Industry.

The award follows a particularly successful period for The Bank of New York, with pension mandates awarded recently by Abbey, Reuters and Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (ESPS ESPS Essential Small Pharmacies Scheme (UK)
