The Banana Farm: another one of those spot lists.


1. Its formal name is "The Banana Farm," which I secretly believe is just a clever way of saying "Sausage Party."

2. The ramp(s) are in my friend Travis' backyard. He's the dude that sits on the deck yelling "Now revert it!" every time you do something you're stoked stoked

3. There are sheets of metal on this ramp that used to be on the Hurricane ramp in Houston. If you know what that means, then you're old. I hope I'm not the first one to break it down for you.

4. After they paint the ramp, I'm supposed to come over here and paint a huge steak in the over-vert pocket.

A Tiki Bar is an exotic–themed drinking establishment that serves fancy cocktails, especially rum-based mixed drinks such as the mai tai or the Zombie cocktail.
 is being built on one of the decks right this minute. I voted to call it "Tropical Transitions."

     used to live at this ramp house and he recently started sporting a terrific moustache.

    7. Back when I was in college there used to be a little three-foot mini-ramp where this ramp is. I think I tried heelflips to fakie Fakie is, in skateboarding, a synonym for riding backwards on a skateboard. When used in conjunction with a trick name, like "fakie ollie", it means that the trick was performed while with your normal back foot as the front foot on the nose of the board, rather than the back of the  on it one day for about an hour straight. I never landed one.

    8. When my friend Adam Young skates this place you might as well just start saying "Yeeeahh!" as soon as he drops in.

    9. I fractured my wrist here on the Fourth of July Fourth of July, Independence Day, or July Fourth, U.S. holiday, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Celebration of it began during the American Revolution. . One year on the Fourth of July I bombed a hill on my friend's skateboard while wearing velcro boat shoes. I ate shit that day too.

    10. By request, I painted a portrait of ET smoking a joint on one of the face walls.

    11. Everybody who skates here pitched in $75 to help pay for materials. This one kid made his $75 by re-stitching other kids' jeans at the skatepark A skatepark is a purpose-built recreational environment for skateboarders, bmxers and aggressive skaters to ride and develop their sport and technique. A skatepark may contain half-pipes, quarter pipes, handrails, trick boxes, vert ramps, pyramids, banked ramps, full pipes, stairs,  so that they would fit more like Saranwrap.

    12. All three guys who live at this house have kids. I always tell them they should make a sitcom about their scene and call it "Skate Dads." They usually just smile back out of politeness.

    13. A few years ago I Was skating here and I left one of my favorite My Favorite is an independent synthpop band from Long Island, New York. They released two CDs: Love at Absolute Zero and Happiest Days of Our Lives. My Favorite broke up on September 14, 2005, when singer Andrea Vaughn left the band.  sweaters hanging from a tree branch next to the ramp, I sure miss that sweater.

    14. I still have six weeks left to wear my cast before I can skate this thing again. I've seen people skate with casts on before but I'm scared to do that because deep down I'm a big fat sissy sis·sy

    15. That's all I can really think of right now. I'm kind of having a hard time concentrating because yesterday was my 30th birthday and I drank booze until I threw-up. I feel so grown up now. Way to go me.
