The Art of Harp harp, stringed musical instrument of ancient origin, the strings of which are plucked with the fingers. Harps were found in paintings from the 13th cent. B.C. at Thebes. The second disc, The Art of Harp, is a collection of many artists playing a variety of different harps, mostly modern, and in chiefly modern repertoire. There is a well-rounded selection of tunes on display here and recorded in diverse locations, some of them live, so the sound is understandably varied. Yet the sonics are never bad, and the better tracks are almost the equal of the DHM DHM Deutsches Historisches Museum (Berlin)
