He takes them to operas and art openings so their husbands don't have to." Schrader says he'll "have my pick" of actresses, since those over 50 "aren't getting offered a lot." And who will fill Gere's shoes? Schrader is hoping for Kevin Kline. If Kline signs on, maybe The Walker could also serve as a sequel to In & Out.
