The American Society of Cinematographers The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) is an educational, cultural, and professional organization. It is not a labor union, and it is not a guild. Membership is by invitation and is extended only to directors of photography and special effects experts with  (ASC ASC Ambulatory surgery center, see there ) (http://www.cinematographer.com) together with Mole-Richardson Co. (http://www.mole.com), Hollywood's premier lighting company since 1927, this week announced that they will team up to offer a special auction of four classic films in the DVD format See VOB and DVD.  featuring three of the greatest living cinematographers.

Each film will be offered on DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.

Type of optical disc. The DVD represents the second generation of compact-disc (CD) technology.
, and signed by that film's legendary Director of Photography.

Titles include "Apocalypse apocalypse (əpŏk`əlĭps) [Gr.,=uncovering], genre represented in early Jewish and in Christian literature in which the secrets of the heavenly world or of the world to come are revealed by angelic mediation within a narrative  Now" and "The Last Emperor" signed by the renowned Vittorio Storaro, "Chinatown" signed by the acclaimed John Alonzo, and "Easy Rider" signed by the esteemed Laszlo Kovacs. John Parker The name John Parker may refer to any of these people:
  • John Parker (Captain), (1729–1775), captain of minutemen in Battle of Lexington and Concord
  • John Parker (delegate), (1758–1832), South Carolina delegate to the Continental Congress (1786-1788)
, Mole.com's Director of Web Development was quoted as saying, "What's being offered, as well as the project that the proceeds are going toward, are designed to heighten awareness of and call attention to the importance of the artistic contribution that the cinematographer has made throughout the history of film."

All proceeds from the auction go to the ASC Building Fund, which is an effort to build a new "campus" around the historic ASC Clubhouse in Hollywood.
