LA County Fire Dept. California Highway Patrol Pasadena Police Department Safe Kids LA Pasadena Human Services & Recreation Dept. LA County Parks & Recreation Department of Water and Power Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF) The American Red Cross and the Pasadena Fire Department will host a joint news conference with experts who will provide life-saving tips for the 2007 Memorial Day holiday weekend including: water safety, preventing drunk driving; brush clearance for hillside residents (wildfire safety); first aid for burn victims; and what law enforcement officials are planning to ensure Southland streets and highways safe as the unofficial start of summer kicks off. VISUALS: -- Robinson Park pool in the background (Some of about 40 area kids participating in the event will be in the pool to learn about water safety.) -- There will be CPR/First Aid and fire safety demos.
