 Award of Excellence at the 49th Chicago Book Clinic Book & Media Awards Show. The Book & Media Awards Show honors excellence in the planning, supervision, and execution of the physical and visual aspects of publishing media. Dolphin's entry, Science Practice and Assessment, took top honors in the Media-CD-ROM category. The software was created for the major educational publisher Scott Foresman, a division of Pearson Education Pearson Education is an international publisher of textbooks and other educational material, such as multimedia learning tools. Pearson Education is part of Pearson PLC. It is headquartered in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. .

The Scott Foresman science software uses an engaging animated game format to enable students to demonstrate and extend their knowledge of science. A variety of different question types are included with extensive audio used to deliver questions and provide feedback. The audio as well as the interface (buttons, text prompts, etc.) are available in both English and Spanish by student selection. The software provides class and student grade performance reporting capabilities.

Dolphin also was recently notified that two of its other software products have been selected as Finalists and candidates for top honors in the 2001 Codie Awards Competition, the principal awards competition for the software publishing industry.
