The American Bankers Association (ABA) and America's Community Bankers announce they have approved a merger to be finalized by the fourth quarter of 2007.

The new organization will retain the American Bankers Association name. Ed Yingling remains in his current role as Pres/CEO of the ABA. Diane Casey-Landry, currently Pres/CEO of ACB, becomes Exec VP and COO of the combined entity.
