Among the facts provided on the application for this award were: - "Super-Cinelux lenses were the first modern 7-element projection lenses with superior light output and high MTF" - "Our measurements show that TOTAL light output of Super-Cinelux is 10% higher than some competitive lenses" This is the SECOND TIME that members of a Schneider design team have received The Academy's Technical Achievement Award for projection lenses.
