Among Dotti's pursuits was the establishment of a program to recognize excellence in Arts and Humanities programs throughout recreation and leisure. Thus, the Dorothy Mullen Arts and Humanities Awards Program.

This program selects national winners from five population classes. The addition of the fifth class in 1992 marks the popularity of arts and humanities programs across the country.

The awards program not only rewards those who demonstrate excellence in art and humanities, but inspires others who may be interested in developing programs in their own area. The sharing of successful programming ideas is accomplished through the awards program.

It is our pleasure to share with you the spirit of Dorothy Mullen through this awards program.
