YOUR ARTICLE "DAYTIME'S OTHER DRAMA" CAME RIGHT ON time. Recently, I decided to pursue a career as either a TV or film writer, director, or producer. I suspected that, as in a lot of industries, jobs behind the scenes would be difficult to obtain. However, your feature on blacks already behind the scenes [in daytime TV] was encouraging.

I would have liked to have seen more of a discussion of how to break into the business. Next time, perhaps you could focus on the development programs you listed in your sidebar and blacks who have gone through those programs with great results.
