Textron Names Terrence O'Donnell Executive Vice President and General Counsel.Business/Technology Editors PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2000 Textron Inc. announced today that Terrence O'Donnell Terrence O'Donnell is a Justice of the Supreme Court of the U.S. state of Ohio. He served as a Cuyahoga County, common pleas court judge for 15 years until 1994, when he ran for a seat on the Ohio Court of Appeals for the Eighth District against former Ohio Chief Justice has joined Textron as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, effective immediately. He succeeds Wayne Juchatz, who is retiring from Textron. For the past two decades, O'Donnell has served as a senior partner in the Washington, D.C.-based law firm of Williams & Connelly. He was a former member of the firm's executive committee and former chairman of the hiring committee. Among his other responsibilities, he worked closely with Textron on government contract, regulatory, and other matters. O'Donnell joined Williams & Connolly in 1977. From 1989 to 1992, he served as General Counsel of the Department of Defense under Secretary Cheney. As the Department's chief legal officer, he directed the Defense Legal Services legal services n. the work performed by a lawyer for a client. From 1972 to 1977, he served on the White House Staff as Deputy Special Assistant to President Nixon and as Special Assistant to President Ford.
