TextWare Opens First European Office and Announces Sale to Bausch & Lomb UK Ltd.

PARK CITY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 1997--TextWare Corporation today announced the opening of its first European sales and support office and the first European sale of its award winning FormWare software. The new office will be located in Telford, England (near Birmingham) and managed by Mike Kenny, who is joining the company as its European Marketing Manager. Kenny will be responsible for marketing TextWare's forms processing software and services directly to end users in the UK and Ireland and through systems integrators in the UK, Ireland and the European continent. This expansion has already paid dividends with the sale of FormWare to Bausch & Lomb UK Ltd., a world leader in ophthalmic products. Bausch & Lomb is implementing FormWare to automate data capture from faxed orders - a task previously accomplished through labor intensive key data entry.

Kenny was previously Managing Director of IK International Ltd., a systems integrator focusing on forms processing and hand held data capture applications. Prior to that he was employed by the UK Division of Boeing Computer Services, where he was responsible for marketing key data entry systems throughout the UK and Ireland.
