), today presented Texel Corporation of Reston, Virginia with the company's top award for AMP NETCONNECT contractors. Texel, the largest privately owned communications services provider in the Mid-Atlantic region, received the 1999 AMP ND&I (NETCONNECT Design and Installation contractor) of the Year award at a ceremony in Reston, VA.

The AMP ND&I awards are presented annually to the NETCONNECT Design and Installation contractors in each district who continually lead with AMP NETCONNECT products, exceed sales expectations, and promote AMP NETCONNECT in the marketplace. Texel was selected as ND&I of the Year from among the seven district winners based on the company's sales volume, reputation in the marketplace, superior training programs and exceptional growth.
