Texas Healthcare Provider Contracts with ETC; East Texas Firm to Use ETC's High Tech Services.

Electronic Transmission Corp. (Nasdaq:ETSM). Access Direct, a Tyler, Texas headquartered preferred provider organization, has named Addison-based ETC to perform all of the PPO's claims entry automation, repricing, and database transmission management.

Access Direct is a two-year-old entity of the not-for-profit East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System, a seamless network of primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare facilities and services which was originated in the mid-1970s. Through its affiliation with ETMC, Access Direct's HealthFirst plan has over 1,100 primary care physicians and physician specialists, 40 participating hospitals, approximately 80 ancillary providers and over 12,000 enrollees in its East Texas network. "Through our HealthFirst plan, employers can choose managed care insurance plans through our affiliations with insurance carriers, national networks and third party administrators," said Access Direct spokesperson Cindy Devasto.
