The Texas Department of Human Services (TDHS TDHS - Tactical Data Handling System

) has awarded One Touch Knowledge Systems a contract to provide an interactive distance learning and communication solution for the agency. TDHS will use One Touch's desktop PC knowledge sharing solution, Front Row(R), to develop and conduct live, real-time communication and training sessions for Health and Human Services staff. Under the terms of the contract, the One Touch solution will also be available to other State of Texas Health and Human Services departments, commissions, and agencies.

"One Touch Knowledge Systems won the bid based on excellent customer service, top quality products, and competitive pricing," commented Gene Earley, Videoconferencing Project Lead, TDHS.

The Department's deployment of the One Touch solution marks the first step in a strategic movement toward statewide implementation of an interactive learning network to serve all regions under TDHS' purview. One Touch's partnership with the leading satellite technology provider, Hughes Network Systems, proved to be critical in assuring TDHS that the long-term plans for the network will be successful.

"I am extremely pleased that the Texas Department of Human Services has selected One Touch to assist them in fostering personal and professional development, innovation, and accountability," commented Dennis Bertken, One Touch Chairman and CEO. "As our list of premier government customers continues to grow, our services and offerings will grow as well."
