Verett Farms covers 4,000 acres, about 2,500 of it in cotton. He is also executive vice president with the Plains Cotton Growers Association. The award, now in its 39th year, recognizes and honors growers who are outstanding innovators, sound stewards of the land, and those who are leaders in their communities and in the cotton industry.
