Bowling for Soup Bowling for Soup is an American Grammy nominated, comedy influenced pop punk band who originally formed in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1994. Now based in Denton, Texas, the band is best known for their singles "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" (a 2003 Grammy Award nominee) and "1985. Wednesday, WOW Hall Good-time band Bowling for Soup returns to the WOW Hall on Wednesday. "It's perfectly fine to be a happy individual," Bowling for Soup declares in its song "I'm Gay." The band is so punk rock because it dares to not be angst-ridden. Its funny, catchy songs includes the recent radio hit, "High School Never Ends." The group has been together since 1994. Army of Freshmen Army of Freshmen is an independent 6 piece band based out of Ventura, California that has played over 1,000 shows in 42 states and 9 countries and are widely known as the co-founders of the annual Get Happy Tour, along with Bowling for Soup. open the show at 7:30 p.m., followed by Quiet Drive and Melee. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door. Teddy Presberg Wednesday, Sam Bond's It's not exactly news that another environmentally conscious group is coming through Eugene on tour. But we love that stuff here, so we will give Teddy Presberg and Indubious their due for touring carbon-neutrally on their Funk the West Coast run. "It doesn't matter what our profession is, we have a personal responsibility to reduce the negative impacts of our actions on the environment," says Presberg, a so-called nu-jazz artist, in a news release. His music is instrumental funk with that loose, jam band jazz vibe.
