Teva Announces Tentative Approval of Amlodipine Besylate Tablets.

JERUSALEM, Israel -- Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ: TEVA) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted tentative approval for the Company's ANDA for Amlodipine Besylate Tablets, 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg. Final approval is expected upon expiration of patent protection on September 25, 2007.

Teva's Amlodipine Besylate Tablets are the AB-rated generic equivalent of Pfizer's Norvasc(R) Tablets. This product is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina.

The brand product has annual sales of approximately $2.4 billion.
