BURBANK, Calif. -- Catalis N.V., Germany-based parent company of Testronic Labs, announced it has acquired 100 percent of the share capital of Belgium-based PMTC PMTC Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (of HIV/AIDS)

PMTC Professional Multimedia Test Center
 N.V. The move is designed to improve Testronic Labs' strategic positioning as the world leader in quality assurance for the home entertainment/DVD industry, and to help accelerate its growth into other digital media testing areas, particularly games.

"We are proud that the shareholders of PMTC and Testronic Labs reached an agreement to join forces," said Neil Goodall, Group CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "This will strengthen our ambition to become the QA company of choice for all media-related industries, testing any content over any medium to any end device."

For the fiscal year 2006, PMTC expects to generate revenues of approximately $4.3 million and a pre-tax profit of $1 million. The acquisition represents a milestone in Catalis' strategy to further diversify its quality-assurance operations and will significantly increase the proportion of revenues generated in areas outside of DVD home entertainment.

Goodall added, "It is our goal to help our customers to deliver compelling, reliable and easy-to-use offerings to their consumers, whether they are at home, in a classroom, at their desk, at the end of a mobile phone or on a games console. This acquisition is part of our strategy to grow beyond just home entertainment and to cover all digital media and distribution channels."

The enlarged company will eventually operate solely under the Testronic Labs brand and provide full-service offerings in the following areas:

* Games and localization testing Localization is the process of adapting a globalized application to a particular culture/locale. Localizing an application requires a basic understanding of the character sets typically used in modern software development and an understanding of the issues associated with them.  for all consoles, as well as MMOG (Massively Multiuser Online Game) A game on the computer played by many people. Also called "massively multiplayer online" (MMO), an MMOG differs from a regular multiplayer game because its environment is perpetual. , casual games and mobile applications

* Interactive software testing, including education and e-learning

* Hardware testing and certification/compliance testing

* Home entertainment DVD, HD-DVD HD-DVD High Definition Digital Versatile Disk  and Blu-Ray testing
