Testimonial dinner for National Commander Jackson is April 29.


National Commander Paul W. Jackson will be honored at a testimonial dinner on Saturday, April 29, at the Doubletree Hotel, 3203 Quebec St., Denver, Colo.

Billed as "Gunslingers and Dance Hall Gals," this western wear event begins with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. in the Doubletree Hotel's Crystal Ballroom Crystal Ballroom is a name associated with numerous buildings and ballrooms worldwide, including:
  • Crystal Ballroom (Portland, Oregon), a historic building in Portland, Oregon, United States
  • Crystal Ballroom (Melbourne), a music venue in Australia

Payment along with the names of those attending, printed or typed legibly, must arrive no later than April 7.

Hotel accommodations may be made with the Doubletree Hotel by calling toll-free 1-800-222-8733, or commercially at 303-321-3333. Room rates per day are $67 inclusive, single or double occupancy. Be sure to mention you are with the DAV to obtain this special rate. The deadline date for hotel reservations is also April 7. Anyone requiring special accommodations should contact the hotel.

 is located approximately 30 minutes from the Doubletree Hotel. The Doubletree does provide a free shuttle to and from the airport. To use the shuttle exit the baggage area through doors 508 or 511 and cross to Island 3. The shuttle picks up at this location at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. A special accommodations van is available if needed. Make any special transportation needs known to the hotel when making your reservations. Additional transportation may also be arranged via taxi, rental car and limousine service to and from the airport.
