Teseda Joins Synopsys Milkyway Access Program; Milkyway Design Database Access Promotes Electronic Design Automation Tool Interoperability.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2003

Teseda Corp., a provider of design-for-test (DFT DFT - discrete Fourier transform ) validation systems, today announced that it has joined Synopsys' Milkyway(TM) Access Program (MAP-in(SM)). Through MAP-in, Teseda's Validator 500 and other DFT solutions will have tighter integration with Synopsys' tools and flows through a direct application programming interface (API (Application Programming Interface) A language and message format used by an application program to communicate with the operating system or some other control program such as a database management system (DBMS) or communications protocol. ) into the Milkyway database. Access to Milkyway-based data will enable Teseda to reduce the time associated with electronic design automation (EDA (1) (Electronic Design Automation) Using the computer to design, lay out, verify and simulate the performance of electronic circuits on a chip or printed circuit board. ) tool integration and allow interoperability The capability of two or more hardware devices or two or more software routines to work harmoniously together. For example, in an Ethernet network, display adapters, hubs, switches and routers from different vendors must conform to the Ethernet standard and interoperate with each other.  between its DFT validation technology and other tools in the flow.

"Through MAP-in, Teseda will be able to link its DFT validation solutions with the production-proven Milkyway database, saving its customers time and money."

"Joining MAP-in, including registration, licensing and Milkyway download, was fast and seamless," said Andrew Levy Andrew (Andy) Levy - Andrew is a current personality on Fox News Channel's late night show, Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, as the show's "ombudsman" since its debut on February 5, 2007. Levy is also a contributor to Gutfeld's website, "The Daily Gut". , director of Marketing at Teseda. "We are looking forward to linking our Validator 500 and other DFT solutions with the Milkyway database, which will give our customers an easy path to tool interoperability throughout their Milkyway-based flows."

About Teseda

Teseda Corporation, Portland, Ore., was founded on the idea that adoption of design-for-test is resulting in a disruptive change in the IC test industry that will change the way integrated circuits Integrated circuits

Miniature electronic circuits produced within and upon a single semiconductor crystal, usually silicon. Integrated circuits range in complexity from simple logic circuits and amplifiers, about 1/20 in. (1.
are tested. Teseda's mission is to provide engineering and production-floor DFT-Focused test solutions that dramatically reduce test cost and accelerate time-to-volume. For more information, visit www.teseda.com.
