Tescom will use its knowledge and expertise, working onsite with the existing development team and the user community. The first phase of the contract will last 12 months and Tescom's experienced team of consultants will create a test plan, design test cases and conduct other functional tests in order to ensure user satisfaction and the reliability of the system. The contract has an option of a further four years, bringing the total contract value to over $1.9 million. The project is a grants management system developed in .NET with a SQL Server An earlier relational DBMS from Sybase and from Microsoft. Sybase introduced SQL Server in 1988 for various Unix versions. In that same year, with help from IBM, Sybase created an OS/2 version that Microsoft licensed and branded as Microsoft SQL Server.  database.
