Terapin Technology Now Offering Video CD Recorder for $299; First-Ever Digital Audio and Video Recorder Available At New Low Price.

Terapin Technology, developer and manufacturer of a range of innovative and easy-to-use convergent consumer electronic products, announced today that its Video CD Recorder See CD-R.  will be available for $299. The product was previously priced at $499.

"Now more people will be able to use the Terapin Video CD Recorder to transfer audio or video from MPEG-1, home videos or even audio from their records or cassette tapes to inexpensive CD-R (CD-Recordable) A writable CD technology using a type of compact disc that can be recorded, but not erased (CD-Rs are "write once" discs). The Terapin Video CD Recorder captures video input from camcorders, TVs, VCRs, DVDs or cable boxes and writes it to either a CD-R or CD-RW. At TV-quality resolution, the Video CD Recorder writes on 74 or 80 minute CD-R/CD-RW discs. Each disc can be programmed with up to 99 "chapters" - reference points to make video or audio segments easy to navigate.
