Tenix Datagate Receives First-Ever NIAP EAL-7 Certification in the World.

MCLEAN, Va. -- Tenix Datagate, Inc., a developer of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based Cross-Domain Connectivity Solutions (CDX) for government and commercial organizations, today announced the U.S. National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) awarded the company an EAL-7 certification for its Data Diode, the first designation of this level in the world to date. Additionally, NIAP awarded Tenix an EAL-5+ certification for its Keyboard Switch, which represents only the second certification at this level awarded.

The Data Diode and Keyboard Switch represent the core of Tenix's cross-domain solution, a technology using a systems architecture and solutions approach that allows military, intelligence and homeland security organizations to analyze and share data safely across classified and unclassified networks from one workstation. This addresses one of the most critical challenges facing government today, as classified and unclassified information must be communicated on separate and disparate networks as a security precaution. By centralizing and organizing the information-sharing process with Tenix's cross-domain solution, organizations can analyze data with a high level of assurance, reduce unnecessary infrastructure investments, and increase productivity and accuracy.

NIAP is a U.S. Government initiative originated to meet the security testing needs of both information technology consumers and producers. A collaboration between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Security Agency (NSA), NIAP's EAL certifications represent standards of assurance that balance security and cost-benefits for the intelligence and military communities. To receive a certification, products must perform well in a series of rigorous and extensive tests.
