Tengtu International Awarded Contracts in Guangxi and Tibet Autonomous Region School Projects.

TORONTO & BEIJING -- Tengtu International Corp. (OTCBB: TNTU) today announced that through Tengtu United Corporation it was awarded contracts for approximately 3.1 million RMB, or U.S. $376,000, by the Guangxi and Tibet Autonomous Region governments, for the installation of its software applications under the Rural Primary and Middle School Modern Distance Education Project. The Rural Primary and Middle School Modern Distance Education Project is part of the central government funded Western Rural Project, and is a key component of China's national computerization initiative.

"We continue to expand our penetration with western rural schools, as China's central government accelerates funding under the Western Rural Project," stated Dr. Liu, chief executive officer of Tengtu United. "We have completed the implementation of both projects, and payments are being received on schedule. Under these two government-funded contracts, we have added more than 3,000 schools, to the approximately 60,000 schools now using Tengtu products and resources. Under the Guangxi contract, Tengtu is installing 3,133 units of its Education Resource for Microsoft(R) Office, 324 units of its e-classroom system and 324 units of its Education Resource Library for primary and junior high schools. Under the Tibet contract, Tengtu is installing 21 units of Education Resource for Microsoft(R) Office, 21 units of Education Resource Library and 8 units of e-classroom System.
