"These new agreements with the leading motherboard manufacturers validate the full potential for PhoenixNet to establish distribution of our products to hundreds of millions of Internet users," said Kendall Larsen, senior vice president and general manager, PhoenixNet Division. "Market acceptance of PhoenixNet as a value-adding capability built into PCs and Internet devices is demonstrated by this extensive licensing of PhoenixNet software."

Additionally, the PhoenixNet Installer CD-ROM is used by computer system builders to preconfigure PCs with bundled content.

"Phoenix Technologies has responded clearly to market needs with improvements in PhoenixNet 3.0," said Bernie Tsai, president of AOpen. "We believe PhoenixNet's plan to support open industry standards is key to the ongoing success of the PC industry."

"Our earlier limited sampling of PhoenixNet software has proven successful for us. We are looking forward to expanding our success by implementing PhoenixNet across our entire product range," said Benson Chang, marketing director of Giga-Byte Technology Corp.

In addition to distributing the PhoenixNet Internet solutions delivery products, these agreements provide the foundation for ongoing and future distribution of new, innovative PhoenixNet security products.
